Chronologies
End of Empire's basic logic is driven by a 100-day chronology that runs from 5 August through 12 November 1945. Something important – sometimes many things – happened every day. These events are succinctly described, richly illustrated (photos inside) and carefully analyzed (vignette inside).
You are encouraged to start at day one and work through the period at your own pace. Alternatively, you could click on the calendars below to see what happened on a specific day, or scroll down slightly to access country-specific chronologies.
